Animal Magic

So flippin extra, but I still like the idea of inviting a certain type of animal to imbue a place with its magic. I wonder if we could work that in.

Bird magic
  • sacrifice some of your seeds and construct bird feeders
  • buff to uncovering information

Squirrel magic
  • sacrifice nuts/seeds, construct squirrel feeders
  • buff to resource gathering

Cat raccoon/turtle/rabbit/??? magic
  • sacrifice meat, construct a shelter
  • buff to movement or toughness

Dog Fox/wolf magic
  • sacrifice meat, construct a doghouse
  • buff to social somehow
Actually would we want domesticated pets to be a separate thing? Because of course individual characters would want that. Yeah, that's a whole separate thing.

And maybe constructing something bigger like a shrine with the different flavors would make it feel like a bigger deal. You want to gate it somehow (not physically, but with game design). It'd require ongoing maintenance, either in offerings or some other work.

Also maybe you want a special person to take responsibility for the shrine. Whoever has those nature or animal proclivities.
